The first closure of applications for The LowCarbon Earth accelerator has happened on 31st July 2023. Applications submitted after this date are automatically tagged as “late”.

If you believe you possess an exceptional climate solution and your application is compelling, this is your change to apply under the Late Application Program. Apply now.

We'll email you the results of our application review just like we do for on-time applications. You'll either receive an invitation to interview that contains details of our in-person meeting, or you'll get an email to say that we won't be interviewing you right now. If you aren't invited to interview, we hope that you don't get discouraged and that you continue with your pursuit to solve for climate.

While it might take a little longer for us to get back to you, please know that we value the content of your application above its submission timing. Just that we’ve already filled out most of the batch, so you’re competing for fewer slots, so the evaluation criterion goes up.

There is no hard deadline. We'll keep allowing teams to submit late applications even until a batch has commenced. Again, the later you submit your application, the harder it is to be a part of LowCarbon Earth.

We recommend applying for the Low Carbon Earth Accelerator as soon as you have a founding team and an exciting idea that can tackle the climate urgency. Don’t worry about the stage you’re currently in, our program is designed to provide accelerated validation, allowing you to make significant progress in a shorter timeframe.

Yes. We regularly accept solo founders. However, we advise that one-person startups can be challenging, and having a co-founder increases your chances of success.

You can certainly apply when you are a full-time student or employee. However, we expect the founders to commit to working full-time on their company during the cohort and beyond.

Yes. We’ve had many companies join Low Carbon Earth Accelerator after doing another accelerator. However, if you’ve done another accelerator already, we may expect you to have made significant progress

No, incorporation is not necessary before applying.

Do you give feedback on application results?

No, we do not recommend submitting two applications. It is best to choose your favourite idea and apply with that one.

Once you submit your application, it enters our review process, so we don’t allow continuous editing

Upon submitting your application, we send a confirmation email with a copy of your application. If you cannot find the email, please check your spam folder. If it’s not there, ensure that you entered your email address correctly on the application. If you still can’t locate the confirmation email, it is likely that your application was not submitted.

As we continuously evaluate start-ups on a rolling basis, we recommend applying as soon as possible because that gives our team more time to spend on your application.

LowCarbon Earth will help with your travel (Selected startups will receive all the details and guidelines).

LowCarbon Earth is a hybrid program where the accelerator program will be virtual and at the end there will be an in-person bootcamp.

We review all late applications with the same criteria as on-time applications, the only difference is that it will take a little patience to get your results.

LowCarbon Earth is looking for startups operating in sectors related to Climate Tech, including but not limited to these areas – Agriculture, Cooling, Microplastics, Renewable Energy and Textiles. Applications are open for all startups across the entire Asia Pacific region. We strongly encourage applications from women, minorities, individuals with disabilities and other underrepresented groups.

Yes, we allow Wildcard entries/ late submissions. Your application will be reviewed on the merits of its content and not on its timing. When you submit a late application, it will take us longer to get back to you since we received your application outside of the dedicated time set aside for application processing.

The first closure of the applications is 31st of July. However, the application portal will remain open beyond this date for high potential climate startups with slightly high evaluation parameter.
